Terms of Use

These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your use of PikaLex (“PikaLex”, “the app”, “we”, “us”, or “our”). By downloading, accessing, or using PikaLex, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.
PikaLex is intended for children and families. A parent or legal guardian should review these Terms and supervise the child’s use of the app. If a child uses PikaLex, the parent or legal guardian is responsible for that use.
1. About PikaLex
PikaLex is an educational word-learning app for children. The app includes vocabulary cards, learning games, sounds, rewards, and optional Premium access.
PikaLex is designed to support learning through play, but we do not guarantee any specific educational result, language level, or learning outcome.
2. Privacy
Your use of PikaLex is also governed by our Privacy Policy. Please read it to understand how the app handles data.
3. License to use the app
We grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use PikaLex for personal, non-commercial use, subject to these Terms and the rules of the app store where you downloaded the app.
You may not:
- copy, modify, sell, rent, lease, sublicense, or distribute the app;
- reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the app’s source code, except where allowed by law;
- use the app for unlawful, harmful, or abusive purposes;
- interfere with the app’s operation, security, purchases, or access controls;
- attempt to bypass Premium access, parental gates, daily limits, or other app restrictions.
4. Children and parental supervision
PikaLex is intended to be used by children under the supervision of a parent or legal guardian.
The app may include links outside the app, support contact, and purchase-related areas. These areas are intended for parents or guardians and may be protected by a parental gate.
Parents and guardians are responsible for deciding whether PikaLex is appropriate for their child and for supervising use of the app.
5. Free and Premium features
PikaLex may offer some features for free and other features through optional Premium access.
Premium access may be offered through:
- monthly subscription;
- yearly subscription;
- lifetime purchase;
- other purchase options shown in the app or app store.
Available products, prices, features, trial offers, and availability may vary by country, platform, store, currency, device, or time.
6. Subscriptions
If you purchase a subscription, payment will be charged by Apple App Store or Google Play through the account you use on that store.
Subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled before the end of the current billing period, according to the rules of Apple App Store or Google Play. You can manage or cancel your subscription in your Apple App Store or Google Play account settings.
Deleting the app does not automatically cancel a subscription.
If a subscription is canceled, Premium access normally continues until the end of the already-paid billing period, unless the app store or applicable law provides otherwise.
7. Lifetime purchase
A lifetime purchase provides Premium access for the lifetime of the PikaLex app, subject to these Terms, technical availability, app store rules, and applicable law.
A lifetime purchase is not a subscription and does not renew automatically.
If you buy a lifetime purchase while you still have an active subscription, the lifetime purchase does not automatically cancel that subscription. You must cancel the active subscription yourself through Apple App Store or Google Play if you no longer want it to renew.
8. Payments, refunds, and billing issues
All purchases are processed by Apple App Store or Google Play. We do not process payments directly and do not receive your full payment card details.
Refunds are handled according to the refund rules of the app store where the purchase was made and applicable law. To request a refund, please use Apple App Store or Google Play refund tools.

9. Restore purchases
PikaLex includes a restore purchases option where supported. Restore purchases may be used to restore eligible Premium access on the same platform and store account.
Some purchases may not transfer between Apple App Store and Google Play because they are handled by different stores.
10. App content and intellectual property
PikaLex, including its design, artwork, text, vocabulary content, sounds, software, logos, and other materials, is owned by us or our licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws.
You may use the app only as permitted by these Terms. No rights are granted except for the limited license described above.
Some images, sounds, and learning materials in PikaLex may be created or edited with the help of AI tools. All such content is selected and reviewed by us before being included in the app.
11. Updates and changes to the app
We may update, modify, suspend, or discontinue parts of PikaLex at any time. We may add, remove, or change features, content, supported languages, Premium features, prices, or availability.
We try to keep the app useful and stable, but we do not guarantee that every feature will always be available on every device, platform, store, country, or operating system version.
12. Third-party services
PikaLex may use third-party services for app distribution, purchases, subscriptions, purchase validation, and related functionality. These may include Apple App Store, Google Play, and RevenueCat.
Your use of those services may also be subject to their own terms, policies, and account rules.
For iOS users, these Terms are in addition to Apple’s applicable App Store terms and Apple’s Standard End User License Agreement, unless Apple requires otherwise: Apple Standard EULA.
13. No warranties
PikaLex is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, whether express, implied, or statutory, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, availability, and non-infringement.
We do not guarantee that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or always available.
14. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, loss of access, loss of profits, or loss of goodwill arising from or related to your use of PikaLex.
Nothing in these Terms limits rights that cannot be limited under applicable consumer protection laws.
15. Termination
You may stop using PikaLex at any time by deleting the app.
We may suspend or terminate access to the app or Premium features if you violate these Terms, misuse the app, attempt to bypass purchases or access controls, or use the app in a harmful or unlawful way.
16. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we update them, we will change the “Last updated” date above.
Your continued use of PikaLex after the Terms are updated means you accept the updated Terms.
17. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Ukraine, unless mandatory consumer protection laws in your country or region require otherwise.
